New API Documentation

The NHL has surprised us all with a new API, so that means a new file to track all the parts of it people have discovered so far.

https://api-web.nhle.com/v1/

Notes

TEAM_ABBR is shorthand for the team abbreviation, using the 3 letter ones (WSH, CGY, LAK, etc)

SEASON_ID is code for the 8 character season id in the format <seasonStartYear><seasonEndYear> e.g. for the 23-24 season: 20232024

GAME_ID has so far remained the same as before, a combination of season year and a unique id element

These two combined make what the previous live JSON used to be. Details like the time of the day when the game ends are gone completely.

Player search

GET https://search.d3.nhle.com/api/v1/search/player?culture=en-us&limit=20&q=STRING | Searches for a string. Culture is the locale, and active=0|1 may be specified.
